The 2011 Kitchen Seed-Collecting Competition

The 2011 Kitchen Seed-Collecting Competition will begin January 10th 2011 for 10 days...
All you have to do is grab every seed in your kitchen before it hits the trash can, dry them for better handling (like in an empty egg-box), count and list them, have your photo taken with the seeds - email it and the list to us!

For example:

57 apple seeds
61 pumpkins seeds
35 pear seeds
73 strawberry seeds (they're tiny!)
117 Bell pepper seeds (Capsicum)
59 watermelon seeds
36 cantaloupe seeds
16 beans
27 lemon seeds
18 orange seeds

As many as you can! You'll find that there will be hundreds!
Once the competition is finished, have a photo of you and your seeds taken and email it to us, along with the list of seeds you have collected.
Tell all your friends to enter too and compete against them... There will be age categories and the winners will be profiled on The Seed Creed website and Facebook - and will receive detailed planting/growing instructions for their specific seeds.
All the extra seeds you don't use can be sent to Seeds for Africa! Just make sure they're dry and identified clearly and write a note of best wishes to the villagers who will receive them, telling them where you are from and how old you are.
We will reply to you telling you where they get sent to.
More instructions and information will be posted about the Seeds for Africa soon.

Good hunting!
